Product Description

Description: Today's vehicles weep air conditioning 134A Freon over a period of time. The 134A evaluation and recharge service is designed to remove the current Freon in the system and recharge with new Freon and leak detection dye to the proper levels. The usual symptoms of low Freon are: lower cooling temperatures in the passenger compartment vent and the cooling fan keeps cycling on and off.

First Online Service Purchase a Good Experience March 18, 2012

My Repair Pal app on my iPhone said I could expect to pay up to $180 in my area for a/c recharge for my 2000 Continental. After doing some online searching for better prices, I found the Sears site and its $125 service. I ordered online using my PayPal account -- a nice digital touch, Sears. The calendar only allowed me to make the reservation for next-day service, but I called my local Sears store and asked if I could come in immediately and they said yes. I had never been a customer of this Sears auto facility before and I was very pleased with the whole process. Good service, good price. And for the time being, my car is blowing cool air again.

Failure twice in a row! August 12, 2011

Went to get an AC recharged and got the car back.  It wasn't getting any cooler the next 2 days, then found out that my high port was leaking because it was bubbling.  The AC person even forgot to put my dust caps back on both the low and high ports!  I took it back, but then was told I had to wait till the next day because the AC person wasn't there.  So I endured the whole day of heat, but at least they were gonna fix the high port and recharge again.  Took it back next day and got it redone, then later found out that my dust caps were missing again!!!  Those were new caps I bought from local parts store and they forgot to put them back again!  The ac is cooler than before, but still not as cold as it should be.  I'm afraid to take it back to them because the AC person at my local sears doesn't know what he's doing.  They may even forget to put the dust caps back on.

I really think this Sears needs to hire better techs to work on their cars.  They really have no clue what they're doing.
