Pennsylvania Spice Box designed by Brian Murphy with American Furniture Design. Highly figured wood and hand-cut joinery make this chest a showpiece of craftsmanship. Spice boxes have a heritage that goes back several centuries. These small chests originally may have been used for storing rare spices, but they were usually filled with valuables such as jewelry and documents. The wood and material must be purchased at your local lumber supply company; we only supply the woodworking plan and instruction booklet to build the project. Our detailed plans walk you through the construction.
