Standing Torso Twist

This core-strengthening exercise allows your torso to move through a full range of motion, targeting your back, abdominals and obliques all at once.

  • Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent, holding a medicine ball (or dumbbell) in both hands.
  • Keeping shoulders down, engage abs, bend elbows slightly and rotate torso to right until arms are in line with body.
  • Rotate back through center and over to left.
  • Continue rotating from side to side.
