One-size floor mats fit most vehicles

When it comes to universal fit floor liners, there are a couple things to be aware of. Universal fit floor mats are going to be the cheapest and easiest method of replacing your stock mats, however, they do not provide the best protection and can potentially cause your accelerator or brake pedals to stick, depending on how the mats fit. Because floor liners have a high wall around them, you will find that you get the best protection from custom fit liners. Universal fit liners can leave gaps in between the liner and the sides of the foot wells where dirt and spilled liquids can find their way to your carpet.

If you like the idea of floor liners and the protection they offer but don't feel like shelling out the money for them or don't really care for the commercial look of rubber, consider some custom fit floor mats instead. If you still want the protection of rubber, you can find floor mats that are made of rubber but don't have the high walls of floor liners. If you'd prefer carpet, the best choice would be custom fit floor liners than have a rubber heel pad. This gives you the look and feel of carpet but provides extra protection under your heel, where floor mats see the most wear.
