Find A/C Condensers and Other Parts to Beat the Heat in your Car

Bringing cooling refrigerant down to a liquid state is the job of the A/C condenser. The A/C compressor creates a high-pressure environment that turns the refrigerant into a gas that flows through the system and back into the condenser.

Two common issues with A/C condensers are leakages and clogs. Leaks can crop up from a faulty weld or seam. The condenser is also located near the front of the car, so it is also susceptible to punctures from debris that flies in from the road. Clogs can also result from road debris or a failing compressor. Small metal pieces from a damaged compressor can flow into the condenser with the refrigerant. Sometimes these clogs can be flushed out, but often the unit must be replaced.

Each vehicle requires a specific model of condenser, due to differences in engine compartment design and the operating needs of the vehicle. Having the wrong size condenser may result in refrigerant that does not properly cycle through the receiver/dryer and the rest of the cooling process. Sears has a large selection of car A/C parts to choose from that will keep your air conditioner in top shape. Grab a new A/C condenser for your vehicle for a comfortable ride throughout the warm months.
