To achieve complete backwards compatibility, the Wind Sensor incorporates the mast bracket previously used on the IS20 wind vane making the two sensors 100% interchangeable. The 508 Wind Sensor utilizes ocean-race proven components from Simrad Yachting's sister brand B&G for the ultimate in accuracy and durability. The sensor is fully field serviceable. Spare parts for wind vane, wind cups, wind speed bearings etc. are already available from inventory as per the B&G 213 and Vertical Mast Head Units.
