I've had this dishwasher for about 3 years and have had no problems with it at all.
It is super quiet. I hardly hear it. It sounds like gentle rain when it is running, and with my great room and TV right next to the kitchen and an open floor plan, noise was always a problem with my old GE dishwasher. Not so with this one.
It cleans really well, though I do usually rinse my dishes off before I load them. Glasses come out nice and clean, with no water spots or etching. I am using the Finish rinse aid and Finish detergent recommended by Bosch, and that seems to work very well with it. It ensures my dishes are dry when the cycle is done. Other detergents don't work as well, and I quickly switched right after I got it based on reviews I read on Consumer Reports and the Sears website.
The tub has a plastic bottom, but I really don't see that as a problem.
The dishwasher may be smaller inside than some other brands, but that is because of the amount of insulation used to make it so quiet. For me that is an acceptable trade off. I live alone and and though I cook at home most nights, I only have to run the dishwasher once or twice a week. Works for me. Maybe not for a large family though.
The bottom rack is a little flimsy. It's not attached to the dishwasher and it doesn't always stay on it's track when pulled out. This is kind of a pain in the rear when the dishwasher is full, getting it to go back in straight. However, it's not a huge inconvenience, just an irritant.
There are few tines on the top rack to support glassware. It hasn't really been a problem for me as I don't slam the rack back into the washer or slam the door shut, but I can see where this might be a problem if you are rough or use a lot of stemware. I like it because I can load larger items and bigger coffee mugs without any problems or size constraints. But it does not support stemware well at all.
I can load plastics on the bottom or top rack and not have to worry about them melting. I do think it has a heating element to dry dishes, but it is not so hot as to melt plastic. Also having the wash arms underneath each rack gives me more space to load larger items and ensures my dishes get nice and clean. The pressure is not so high either that it throws lightweight stuff around inside, or uprights lighter plastic bowls so they fill with water.
I also have a stainless Bosch range and together they look really sharp and high end in my kitchen. Oh, there is a film across the stainless on the front of the dishwasher that keeps it from getting fingerprints. Maybe I was supposed to remove this, not sure, but it doesn't detract at all from the appearance and it protects the finish, so I have left it on.
Overall I have been really satisfied and happy with this dishwasher. So much so that I am selliing my house and taking it and my Bosch range with me, replacing them with a cheaper stainless appliances.
I just loaded my new Bosch for the first time. Compared to my Kenmore Elite, this Bosch has a lot smaller dish capacity.KInda like going from an american SUV to a compact euro car. The tines are angled so it takes some strategy to load plates and bowls. I had to read the manual to figure out how to properly arrange the dishes. Deep bowls are hard to fit in the tight tines. I had a hard time loading in pots and pans on the bottom rack. Spatulas and long knives can interfere with the rotation of the spray arm even when properly placed in the silverware basket. Another design quirk is that the washer does not turn off after a cycle, it will stay on all night until you manually turn it off. It also does not have a handy "dishes clean" light like my Kenmore. I'll have to get used to the euro design quirks. Sort of like going from a Ford to a VW..its not bad, just different. I would not recommend this washer for larger households due to smaller capacity.
It gets dishes decently clean; however it does NOT dry.... EVER... I have followed the instruction manual to a "T" and always make sure there is plenty of dishwasher rinse aid and I always spend extra time drying everything. I may as well hand wash them too.

I've had this dishwasher for a little over a week. The good: It washes very well and is extremely quiet. The bad: Overall, it has a flimsy tin-and-plastic feel to it. The bottom rack drags badly against the sealing gasket on the right side as the rack is slid in and out. If you place the silverware basket on this side, the hooks on the basket drag even worse. After only 9 days of use, the gasket is showing signs of wear in this area. You can relocate the basket to the rear but then the unit becomes difficult to load. Overall capacity is poor. Stemware doesn't fit in the top without lying it almost on its side, and the bottom rack doesn't seem to hold a lot. If you have a family of 4 or more, you might find yourself running more loads than you used to.

Super quiet, dishes spotfree, very easy to install.

Quiet, quiet, quiet. Easy to use. Installation was a breeze.
The interior appears small, but holds a lot of dishes. The silverware basket is large and allows the option of dividing the sections to prevent the spoons from nesting together. Proper placement of the dishes is majorly important, check the manual for directions. This dishwasher REALLY cleans. It takes off peanut butter, chip dip and dried on "Cream of Wheat", even off of silverware. My previous two dishwashers just dried them on even more. I wish it had a "rinse and hold" cycle, but the actual cleaning of the dishes is more than a fair trade off.

This unit is way too small. Large griddles will not fit, and it is not very pot and pan friendly. Long stemmed wine glasses must be placed on their sides. Overall less room for dishes. It is very quiet and does a good job of cleaning, but some things need to be re-washed even though they are easily wiped off food stuff.

Dishes and glassware come out sparkling clean. So quiet!

I like that this dishwasher is very quiet. It seems to do a decent job cleaning the dishes, however they are rarely completely dry even though I always include the sanitize cycle. I also think it holds fewer dishes and definitely less silverware than the cheap apartment dishwasher I had last. The most annoying thing is that the dishwasher occasionally starts up all by itself. Basically, as I'm cleaning up in the kitchen, and I accidentally lean in toward the dishwasher, it starts. And since it's so quiet, sometimes I don't notice until the cycle is 20 minutes in! We've had it for 6 months, and today, it's doing the exact opposite! It won't start! The red indicator lights are flashing, but when I hit start nothing happens. I've checked to make sure the child lock isn't on. I've reset the whole things several times, made sure the door is latched, etc., and it's a no-go! Right now, I'm waiting to see if my husband is any more successful when he gets home. UGH.

We purchased a Bosch because Consumers Report rank several of theirs very high. While it is very quiet and does have a couple of other nice features, it doesn?t clean as well as our 21 year old Kenmore did. There have been just two of us for several years now, so I don?t need to run the dishwasher everyday. This one starts to smell after about a day without running it. We never had that problem before. I actually think I hand wash more dishes now too because the tines on the racks are so close together that it?s hard to fit anything other than plates, cereal bowls, drinking glasses and coffee mugs in them. Even in the suggested loading patterns they give you that?s pretty much all they show.

THIS GETS THE DISHES CLEAN AND YOUR GLASSES HAVE NO SPOTS WITH JET DRY. THERE IS ALSO A JET DRY ADJUSTMENT YOU CAN MAKE AND SELECT HOW MUCH YOU WANT TO USE. THIS IS MY SECOND BOSCH AND THE FIRST ONE COST ALMOST DOUBLE 10 YEARS AGO. SEARS DID A GREAT JOB THROUGH THE WHOLE PROCESS - SALES DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION.
