Butterball  Electric Turkey Fryer

This has got to be the best indoor fryer yet, Butterball has out did themselves trust me look no more you have found the perfect gift for yourself or friend it does much more than fry awesome it is. As soon as I took the fryer out of the box I prepare a meal Mmm Mmm good is all I have to say! **Pro :Great Buy for the money and some you will not be disappointed **Con : It would have been nice if Butterball would have design a place behind the Fryer to store the Lifting hook but still an awesome machine

We use this all the time. Easy to maintain. Easy to use. No complaints!

This was a great buy. I was able to prepare my food and serve it in a timely manner. I love it and I even brought two of these. Great buy.

I fried a 14lb turkey in this fryer with no problem. I used almost 3 gallons of peanut oil and I fried it for 1 hr. My family raved that this turkey was the juiciest turkey they'd ever had.

I did a turkey breast for Thanksgiving. Everyone loved it. I'm already doing another turkey breast now (there were no leftovers...gotta have leftover turkey). Also did a batch of chicken wings when friends were over. I sold them on it.

Just used it on Thanksgiving and it was great. The turkey was very good, cooked fast and not greasy. Easy to clean up.

I must admit, I was excited when I got mine. Used it one night to make chicken tenders and shrimp and fries. This thing is not small by no means. It is ok. I do not like the fact that the electric cord is held to the fryer by a slight magnetic force. It is easy to knock it off. Clean up as with all fryers is work. It does have a fairly easy draining system...but you HAVE GOT TO make sure you have a large enough container to drain the use oil into. Cleaning the inner fry tub is easy. BUT...when I first cleaned the tub...you could see where the interior surface showed signs of heat stress or scorching. Seems the painted surface doesn't hold up to the heated oil. I have pics of this. This compromises the quality definitely. The outer edges of the tub rim need more beveling as well as they are very sharp and one could seriously slice their fingers open on them. I did contact Butterball's rep through MasterBuilt. Provided the pictures of the damages to the inside of the tub. They complied with providing a NEW tub unit. However this warrants a "BUYER BEWARE" rating. NOTE: I have yet to use the NEW fryer tub to see if this does the same thing. Given the sharp edges on the rim of the tub and the scorching of the interior this product needs to go back to the drawing board. This is why it only gets a "Below Average" rating from me.

My Husband has deep fried many turkeys in the outside deep fryers that operate from Propain. And Everytime I am a complete mess because I am worried if something was to go wrong.  Once we saw theses on tv we knew we wanted to get one! The fact that it only uses 2 gallons of oil was huge and that it was a safer way to deep fry. They final went on clearance at our local sears and the same day i bought it, i bought a whole chicken to deep fry. :) Because the chicken was only 5 lbs we only used 1 gallon of oil. The Deep fryer started heating up instantly and was heated to temp. within 10-15 min.  and the Chicken was down 20mins later. We added french fries next and then those were done in 5mins. The Fact that i only had to deep fry 2 times for 1 dinner was great!. I am used to using our smaller deep fryer and having to cut the whole Chicken into sections and throw in smaller amounts of fries which means i am deep frying several times while my family eats without me.... The only drawback is how big the deep fryer actually is as I have no room to leave it out on my counter which means after every use I will have to drain, clean, and take to the Basement. But even with the extra work I am soo glad i don't have to worry as much when my husband does a turkey.  The Box says it will hold up to a 14 lb turkey but the directions recommend a 10-12 lb. turkey.
