Char-Broil  4-Burner Infrared Gas Grill

The quality is outstanding. Will never have another gas grill that isn't Tru Infrared.

I purchased this grill the fall of 2012. Had some problems at first but realized it was due to the grill not being level and how I grilled. We have since moved and the grill sits level on a deck instead of on the ground. I had flare ups before, but not now because it is level and the grease drains properly. Also, do not overload the grill with the cheaper, fattier hamburger as too many patties close together will drip a lot of fat and it will flare up. I use leaner hamburger and space the burgers farther apart, rather than touching and have had no more flare ups. The gas tank I have was used, off the old grill. It seems to be lasting forever. I have cooked with all burners and did stir fry with the wok on the side burner, and have let the grill run for long periods of time to burn off old debris. It is nice to not have to scour the grate each time before cooking! I would recommend this grill. I use it all the time and love it and bought a cover so have had no rust problems.

It took some getting used to after using a regular gas grill... but once I figured it out, I liked it. It does cook faster so be careful or you will end up with well done meat instead of MR! Overall it seems more efficient than a plain gas grill.

After 1 season the so called stainless finish on the control panel faded to a blur and the burner covers rusted away to dust. Only the burners are covered after the 1st year in the warranty, so I'm on my own. It cooks fine, the self cleaning works great, the thermometers lasted about 6 months also then stopped working. I see 3 to 4 years of life out of this grill at best. And it's called TRU infrared because its not TRUE infrared, just regular tube burners.

I had been shopping for a gas grill and wanted an infrared model. I walked into my local Sears hometown store and walked into a great deal on the grill I wanted. I took it home and cooked steaks that looked and tasted just like I'd gone out to my favorite steak place. Grill marks and perfect doneness on the steaks and a smile on my face. Awesome grill!

Saw a lot of complaints about the grates, but let me tell you this cooks everything perfect and sears steaks awesome! Every few months, depending on usage, I run the grates in the oven on the clean cycle and it burns off all the excess. I also spray canola oil on the grates before I light it and after it cools. (helps keep away rust and seasons grates)

Very solid made and should last for 5+ years at least. The special grill design keeps meat juicy or at lease not easy to get over cooked. We have been comparing grills at otehr lcoal chain stores and found that this one is the best deal around. We even get this assembled with no extra charge and instant delivery. Thanks to SEARS who though of keeing assembled units in stock.

I bought this grill back in June, used it once and decided to send it back. The grills are too hard to clean and they are a pain in the neck to maintain. If you are like me I like to also cook items on the top rack of the grill, there is not enough space to put anything on the top rack, so it is basically useless, I wound up taking it out. I bought the grill because of how it was advertised, infrared being the best way to cook, but I prefer the old fashion burger on the grate any day.
