What is Detection Technology?

Similar to dirt sensors on some traditional upright vacuum cleaners, detection technology is specific to robotic vacuums. This technology feature is a combination of electronic sensors that helps robotic vacs self-navigate. Built-in signals are sent out to gather environmental and spatial data. The information is then sent back and stored in the vacuum to alter actions and help the vacuum learn how to navigate your space.

Uses of electronic sensors

  • Calculating room size using infrared signals
  • Determining room layout so as not to bump into furniture
  • Achieving optimal floor coverage by storing a personalized cleaning path for each room
