We're big on getting runway looks for less. Our latest mission? The season's oh-so essential lace-embellished shorts. If you're far from crafty, you can easily shop the style in store. (You'll find dozens of cutoffs equipped with a little lace here, a lot of lace there!) More DIY-savvy? Make your own. We’ve got your guide to creating a fab, one-of-a-kind pair…
1. Gather Your Supplies
You’ll need a pair of denim shorts (new or vintage, with a clean hem or frayed), a spool of lace trim, sewing pins and a needle and thread.
2. Set the Lace
Cut two strips of lace the length of the shorts, and pin one to each of the shorts' side seams.
3. Seal the Deal
Simply sew the strips in place. Less advanced? Go for fabric glue instead. Voila!
