Point blanc: We’re giving you three real ways to work the biggest beauty trend on the Spring 2014 runways.
Get the Look: White Shadow
A white shadow with subtle shimmer and gold undertones will prove less harsh than a solid white shade—so shop accordingly. Next step? Apply liberally: Cover your entire eyelid, then line your lower lashes. Then, to get the trend right? Pick one of two options: Layer cat-eyed black liner on top, or move on from your eyes and let red lips be the “pop.”
Get the Look: White Liner
While the Spring 2014 runways turned out a more dramatic take on the trend (think stark, white, fanned-out lines), wearing white eyeliner has been a beauty secret of ours for seasons. We use it to brighten our eyes and make them look more awake, and it’s simple to pull it off with a bang: Just line the inside corners of both eyes—along top and bottom lashes, about a centimeter wide. (The end result? Eye-opening.)
Get the Look: White Polish
It’s funny how, from season to season, trends can read like day and night—like, for instance, the hot shade in nail polish. After a winter big on darks, like oxblood and black, it’s all about white—which we’ve worn in springs past. To keep its look current, pick a version that’s matte, then team it with any embellishment you wish. (Your best bet? Jewels, dots or bright tips.)
