Cooper  Response Touring - P225/60R16 98T BSW - All Season Tire

Bought two sets, one set for 2008 Impala and one set for 2008 Grand Prix.  They do excellent in snow and wet weather.  The problem I have with both sets is after hitting around 30000 miles, both sets cupped out and now I have noisy bumping sounds and and horrible vibrations in both cars.  Sears tried to say it was my brakes and wanted to do $500 brake jobs. I told them it wasn't and they rotated my tires and now the noisiest tires went from rear to front of vehicles. 

I purchased a  set (4) of these tires from the Sears in Boca Raton for my 2001 grand marquis and then went on a 10 day 1500 mile road trip in Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. My cars paint job was a little worse for wear but the Cooper Response tires handle well for economy tires and have a nice quiet ride and still looked great.

I have a 2008 Chevrolet Impala which had Goodyear Assurance tires from day one. I never was really happy with the noise levels and the harshness of these tires. After 40,000 miles I was noticing the Goodyears were getting louder and was feeling every little imperfection in the road. I bought the Cooper Response touring and I could not be any happier ! Very quiet and smooth even on some very textured highways. Traction on wet and dry roads is excellent, cornering/handling are also excellent but note I am not a spirited driver.

Had to replace one tire, the men behind the counter helped me find one that fit the rest of my set and got me in and out with ease. thanks for the great help...

I just received two new front Cooper tires and they are truly amazing. Smooth on the road, handling through corners and I now feel safe driving my car with these tires.

This is one of the best tires I have used. We take very long trips and they outstanding and wear very well if you keep them balanced

The tires themselves are econmoical and perform well for us. We put them on a luxury car who's stock tires were not worn out, but ageing.  The installation was another issue. Dispite having an appointment I had to wait at the counter for 45 minutes and was subjected to several upsel attempts. Only after demanding management would they even finalize the paperwork for my car. I purchased the tires online, so I was anticipating less than an hour total.  This wait, which was partially caused by the upsel attempt, but also having to wait for someone that could actually do an online pick up order, caused me to have to take the entire afternoon off of work, which I had not planned.  The usual complaints to the store have gone unanswered. Again, pleased with the tires, but won't be buying them from Sears again.

To simply say the tires are adequate is not enough, I must also say they stay right where I put them and they hug the road. There is no shaking and no wheel play as there had been previously. My husband and father always taught me if you take care of your car it will take care of you and all my life Dad counted on Sears for quality products and service; so imagine how dismayed I was on returning home and not taking my car out until the day after I had bought 4 brand new tires to hear a horrible squeal and grinding sound. I called and brought my car back to Sears and was throughly horrified when after reviewing my car the worker told me I needed new brakes and rotors. Didn't you check prior to installing my brand new tires to see if I need brake work? Isn't that part of obtaining new tires that the mechanic checks to see what if anything else is needed? There is no way I would buy new shoes ( tires ) if I needed brakes. That's a backward move. The inspection was never done so I didn't know until after the fact that the brakes needed repair.

I just needed two tires and did not want to spend a lot of money on them. When I told the salesperson what I wanted, she brought these up. I hadn't heard of Cooper tires before, so I wasn't sure if I wanted to go with a non-brand name. The salesperson told me that the Cooper tires were kind of the top of the line of the lower end tires. So I decided to go with them, being I had the price to consider. My car is driven by 3 drivers and a lot of in town. Anyway, so far, the tires look good and are performing as they should. I'll write another review after I we've gotten more use.

Upon arriving at the service counter, the gentleman was very friendly.  I told him I wanted to get some tires, he said "don't tell anyone but we do have a few tires here to sell" he made the experience very interesting and fun.

I had to have the font end alliend, which was something I had'nt anticipated, but found that it was necessary for the tires to wear more evenly in the front. The saleman did show me how the old front tires had worn much faster that the rear.

when driving home, the tires were  very quite on the road amd did not whinne like I have heard some cares do, the car did not shimmy, and the ride was very smooth. The salesman was quite knowledgeable about the tires and told me about the road hazard protection, which I hope I never have to use, but if it is necessary, I will not have to pay full price for a replacement, which is very good to know and  not have that worry.
