    After 27 years our Sears 1/3 HP chain drive opener gave up the ghost. The motor still worked but various irreplaceable parts were shot. Bought this belt drive model from an informative sales agent at Sears. It was on sale. As a bonus, installation by Sears was also on sale. By 3 P.M. the next day it had been installed by Sears. We got the same features on this unit for about $200 less than a local door service quoted us for a similar opener. We have only had it about 2 months. So far, it works GREAT. It is VERY QUIET. We like the outside keypad and the controllable courtesy lights. Suggest that people read their car's owner's manual thoroughly before programming into homelink. I could not get it programmed, then found it was my error by not following Honda's directions. Works fine now. We have not experienced any of the problems described by other reviewers. Good value. Looking forward to another 27 years of service.

    Piece of Junk June 25, 2008

    I purchased this belt drive opener 18 months ago. The door goes up by itself and now won't open with one of the remotes. I'm going back to a chain drive. This belt drive unit is junk. Door bounces when it does open Had new springs and rollers installed still bounces when it does open. The interior button was defective from factory,Sears sent me one to replaces it under warranty.

    The unit works quite well; the older unit I replaced had little range, this one will open from at least 200 feet. Like the fact it can take up to six (I believe) different controllers, quietness, and the apparent quality. No real dislikes,

    Great value,easy to install,and very quiet. This unit replaced a Wayne Dalton i drive. This craftsman is a much better quailty. I would recomend this unit to my friends.
