    Outstanding! August 17, 2008

    For the money, you can't go wrong here. I bought it to remodel my son's room, starting with his ceiling. About 250sq' of pine planking and this compressor/nail gun combo was perfect for the job. The gun is lightweight and comfortable, and I knocked it off the top of a 6' ladder, landing on the hardwood floor- no damage, so it's tuff too. The compressor is flawless and the regulator keeps the tool pressure dialed in great. Insight- you will immediately need a longer hose, don't even bother starting your project until you purchase one. The hose that comes with it is listed at 15' but I found it to have a working reach of less than 8. Put it this way, I couldnt use it to work on a 7' ceiling with the compressor sitting on the floor. Otherwise, this is an outstanding value and you should have no reservations about making the purchase. Very impressive.

    Dont buy November 24, 2008

    I received this product as a gift. I personally would not have purchased craftsman products for myself or anyone else. I have used the compressor a few times now and each time I have found that , it is too small to fill a tire on a small truck, does not have the capacity to run a pneumatic drill, the nailer is poorly made, and the hose is the cheapest and shortest thing they could have packed with the compressor. It has worked well as a duster for a video game though. I guess that since I didnt buy it myself I will replace the hose since it ruptured and see if that was the cause for such really really poor performance before... I am trying to find a reason to trust craftsman products for something other than fishing weights.

    I just baught this combo and I think it is great if you use it for it's intended purpose (small jobs). With this being said, no one should be disapointed with this compressor if they keep this in mind. If it helps, I also own an indutrial grade 30 gal. compressor which I use to run air tools such as impact guns, grinders, air chissels etc... (and yes, air up tires). Everyone just needs to remember there is a reson why Sears and other companies make different compressor models, so do not expect to run a shop, build a house, or restore an automobile with this small purpose intended compressor. So, do your home work and figure out what you expect from whatever you purchase and you will not be disapointed...

    Nail gun didn't work well... unreliable... exchanged for another, same poor quality. Also performed a direct comparisin with my brother's reconditioned other brand nail gun... blew it away. Bottom line, compressor is great... light, easy to manage... nail gun is poor.
