    Craftsman 15 Amp 120 Volt 10" Jobsite Table Saw November 07, 2010

    I purchased this saw based on it portability and ease of folding and storage.  The side and rear extensions add significantly to the usability.  The saw when folded hangs nicely on the garage wall.  It has handled all the work I have had the opportunity to use it for to date. 

    It cuts accurately enough to complete some built in shelving in our family room including the doors. the dado capability works well for light projects.  The collection bag is OK but it works nicely when attached to a shop vac. 


    The blade safety and kick back guard are the weakest link plastic and tin.

    Over all I been happy with this saw and would recommend it it a good value for the price.

    Does the Job March 18, 2011

    I found the assembly fairly easy to work with... though the drawings were a little vague. I didn't find the instructions until I got to the kickback guard installation. They were taped to the underside of one of the small flaps of the carton. I was able to figure out the rest on my own and it still didn't take a lot of time. In using the saw, I'm a weekend DIY person, but doing some heavy duty remodeling and deck building. I found the extensions a little flimsy and the side guide a little iffy... measure both ends and cut once. I think the cart could be made of a more durable material, mostly for weight. I tried to cut a half sheet of 3/4" plywood and had to nurse the piece through or the saw would lift from the weight of the wood. I also used a shop vac to take up the sawdust.There was very little dust escaping. I think the bag is a wee bit small for most jobs.

    The assembly instructions were east to follow and assembly was completed is less than an hour. The saw performs very well. The stand is very stable and east to break down for transport. The push tool is storred in a very convient location.

    I bought this saw because it was a great price and had 3/4 inch standard miter slots which made it easy to make table saw sleds  :). Dado works great on it also only 1/2" though.

    I am a DIYer and I was in a bind while installing hardwood in my home. I needed a table saw and I did my research on the Internet and went to big box stores. I needed something reasonably price without blowing out my bank account. This table saw seemed to fit my needs and my budget. Once I am done with the florr project, it will probably not be used until spring and since this unit folds down and can store vertically... it was my choice. My biggest quirk was that the installation directions seemed to be out of order. While I thought I was assembling the unit so I could use it, the directions seem to have you install it to store it away. Took me an extra 20 minutes to figure out what I was doing wrong. Other than that, I am completly satisfied with the unit as it is ripping my flooe boards with no problems at all.

    Overall a great product. The only con I can find is that the body is made of palstic. Althought this makes it lighter I am a little skeptic as to the over all life of the product. I'm still using it and hope it lasts as long or longer than my last one, 25 years.
