    Worked fine for years May 17, 2009

    I've had this unit for about 5 years. This year it won't charge. Bad batteries, which I'll replace, Then give the unit to my brother. I feel, since I got 5 years of trouble free use, it was well worth it. I just bought a newer model from Sears with a couple of different features. I hope I have the same luck with it.

    Bought this thinking it would be great not to get the 100 foot extension out to trim a moderate sized yard. Worked fine once. Next time after charging seemed like it barely had power. Tried running the battery down and recharging. No luck. Now does not even run. Do not buy this product!!! 60 bucks down the drain.

    The Craftsman 10 in. Electric Weedwacker Line Trimmer/Edger, Cordless is great. If you could change the string to blades, I would love it. It's light weight, easy to use, but I prefer blades. I also have a 2-cycle weedeater that you can change string to blades. I use it because you can use blades. If there is a way to do this  With the Craftsman Weedwacker please tell me. I LOVE CRAFTSMAN TOOLS!!!

    Have had this item for several years, replacing it today. Have been unimpressed with the perfomance from early on. While i have little property to edge this trimmer has never had the needed power to complete the job satisfactorily. It is also poorly balanced with the batteries at the handle end making it very top-heavy. Reaching out with it is a chore. This year it has finally given me an excuse to replace it, since it now runs only spradically, although the batteries still check out as good. I would not recommend this product for anyone.
