    Built a 9 bookshelf library with no problems December 28, 2010

    You need two guys to run sheet goods through this because it's small and lightweight, but so are all saws in this price range. You need to anchor the feet somehow with weights or pins in your floor, or mount it to a piece of plywood that you can put weight on. But this saw made great cuts, clean, solid miters, rabbets, and a few half lap joints, too. I've used it frequently since I bought it 18 months ago with no problems but one: I dropped the fence after only a week, and the *plastic* lock snapped in two. It still works, sans most of the locking lever, but hacked me off. Saw bogs a little if you work too fast on hard woods or big sheet plywood, but will cut at a reasonable rate of feed once you learn the proper speed for the material. By the way, you can't believe how light this saw is, so if you want a table saw that you can bring along, look no further. It locks onto the folding stand in seconds. The stand is very sturdy. But you can pick it all up, stand and all, and move it pretty easily. Finally, I saw a woodworking magazine give this saw its highest rating for saws under $400. Not bad at all for a saw you can get for under $200 if you wait for the Craftsman days sale.

    Non standard Miter slot is a terrible design December 19, 2010

    My wife bought this table saw for me for Christmas. I was pretty excited at first. I have tried to use the saw a few times and the amount of play/slop with the miter makes the accuracy terrible. I have tried to make a jig or upgrade the miter, but the use a non-standard 5/8" slot rather than the industry standard 3/4". They do not even sell accessories for the 5/8" miter themselves. This is a terrible design. Do yourself a favor and steer clear.

    I'm a novice in woodworking, but looked for a long time before buying a table saw. I like the portability of this saw. The stand folds up easily to make room in the garage. It was very easy to set up. I have made many cuts, some at a 45 degrees, and am happy with all of them. The blade that came with it is doing a good job making very long cuts. I would recommend this saw for first time buyers as it is very affordable and easy to set up and use.

    I am very happy with this purchase, it is a versatile piece of equipment, it's built in measurement devices and sliding arm made an afternoon's cutting nothing more than a couple of hours of cutting. It is sturdy yet light enough I can move it around my patio without assistance, and the dust bag actually collects the saw dust, instead of it flying around everywhere like some other kinds I have seen.
