    Quality........ Forget Dewalt! January 02, 2010

    I bought this set because of the price and craftsman name. Needless to say , I was not let down. This combo has proven to be extrememly well made and totally useful. There is not a useless tool in the combo, I even use the light. The blades that come with the saw are of decent quality so they don't break with the first use. The batteries last a looooong time with moderate use and charge in good time. The drill is powerful, the sawzall works great and the circular saw barely flinches during use, even when cutting thick, or wet stock.

     

    The bag/case is durable and holds all the tools batteries and charger with room to spare for drill bits and such. I might also add that somehow, craftsman has been able to keep the weight of the individual tools down, so you don't tire yourself out while working. I purchased the extended service plan...... It's a waste of money, because I have never had to return my tools yet...... bummer.

     

    Do not be afraid of this tool combo, it is of excellent quality and a very good value

    I bought this set and a Makita LXT601 for a side by side comparison.  I also purchased another C3 Lion battery, charger, impact wrench, and 1/2 inch hammer drill driver.  I am a full time carpenter with 25 years experience and I use cordless tools all day long.  My shop recently outfitted itself with the Makita line, so I wanted to compare the two side by side.  I really wanted to buy American for myself.

    Well, I hate to say it but it was a clear victory for the Makita set.  I'm not going to bash the C3 tools I bought, because they were definitely made well.  I liked the power of the 19.2, especially for the impact wrench and the saw.  The led lights were a good addition too.  I even liked them better than the Dewalt stuff I've owned, since the batteries are a horror show with Dewalt.  But in the end, the Makita's were just as strong, much lighter, and the batteries charge in 20 minutes.  So I guess my verdict is....it's a good set, but it's not the best.  If I'm going to spend $700 on tools, that's what they have to be.

    i am a set builder at upper darby summer stage and i use this set every day i have dropped the batteries from 25' the only thing that happend was that the case cracked for heavy duty stuff i still use my corded tools
