Craftsman 3/8 in. Cordless drill and Flashlight are powered by 14.4 volt batteries. Drill provides 0-650 rpm (no-load) of speed for drilling/driving. Increase the pressure on the trigger switch for higher speeds, decrease the pressure for lower speeds. Reverse to remove fasteners. Features 24 different torque settings, which is ideal for drilling and driving different types of screws into different types of materials. A 3/8 in. Keyless chuck allows you to hand-tighten or loosen and release accessory bits in the chuck jaws without a chuck key. Good drill September 07, 2008

I might have the only drill out there without battery problems. Both my batteries hold charges fine. It seems to hold most of the charge for two weeks or more. I have had my drill for over two years, and the only problem is the LED light on the charger does not work. The drill has plenty of power, and I really like the LED light on the drill itself to illuminate any dark areas.

    Thanks everyone. December 08, 2008

I bought the Craftsman 14.4 cordless drill a while ago and was pretty happy with it until.... Batteries were dead! I had this for a while and thought it maybe I was supposed to cycle the batteries more often. My fault? I guess not! I was going to buy replacements, but after reading theese reviews I'll just throw the combo kit away! Thanks for saving me from wasting money!

    Worthless batteries October 18, 2008

With 2 fully charged batteries I'm lucky to get one screw in. Just spent over an hour on the phone trying to find out if they are making adjustments. Apparently they are not. Luckily I still have my 15 year old Skil.
