    Easy to setup, start and get to edging... April 20, 2011

    I've been wanting one of these for a while. Upgrading from a convertible trimmer/edger that just did not have the needed power. This edger was easy to assemble and prep. It started after a few pulls and I was able to get right to work. It sliced through a lot of excess growth and all I had to do was stroll along behind it. The throttle adjusted automatically depending on how hard the blade needed to work. The only negative was the curbing feature. The lever that controls the pin holding the wheel in place was almost too flexible - the pin was very difficult to completely disengage.

    From a long time Craftsman Fan - Do not buy March 23, 2010

    This gas edger worked great for about 2 months of use every other week. Then it started to smoke so bad I could not see through it. Took it into sears service where they admitted it was probably a lemon. But Sears would not refund or exchange as it was a gift from my wife and not used for a couple of months.

    Unfortunately I will no longer be adding to my collection of Craftsman hand tools, power tools (large and small) and yard equipment. I know how to maintain my equipment and have for years. Sears no longer stands behind their name, and neither will I.

    My Craftsman edger is another in a long line of tools I have bought at Sears. It's ready to go right out of the box, and started on the second pull of the starter rope. The motor runs smoothly, and never bogs down, and the blade does a great job trenching, even around my flower beds. I will highly recommend this product to my friends and family!

    I purchased this edger. It has done everything asked of it very well. Although I no longer am able to use it, my grandson uses it on my yard and the results are apparent to everyon that cares to look. I have had no problems with it, not even blade sharpening,

    This edger is easy to use, even for a 71 year-old woman such as myself. Its easy to start and gives a sharp manicured edge between my lawn and sidewalk and driveway. Only problem is that I have to hire someone to change the blade as I cannot manage that myself.

    Craftsman has not dissapointed me yet with this machine. Have had no problems with it so far. I purchased theh additional warranty as a back up. The only concern that I have with it is that I have no manual control over the throttle. After the warranty expires, I'll install an manual throttle. I have a large amount of curbing to edge and with the tilt feature made the job easier.
