    Great value September 15, 2006

    I sold my 2000 LT2000 (16.5hp kohler and three bin bagger) when I moved to a home without in ground irrigation and manicured lawn. I quickly missed the riding mower. I bought this LT1000 with the 16hp Briggs and 38inch cut. Cuts great though I miss the anti-scalp wheels and ameter from my old tractor. I got this one out the door for 719.00 dollars.

    Buy the bigger one. April 13, 2007

    About 3/4 of the way through mowing a standard 1 acre lot (no tall grass) the belt that controls the blade broke. This was my first time using the mower. I was not happy. Consumer reports rates Craftsman highly but the ones they tested were not the small ones with a 38" blade. I will try the one with a 42" blade . Sears should thank Consumer Reports. Their ratings are the only reason I am willing to give Craftsman another try.

    It might not be a large mower but it is a mighty mower and great price. You cann t beat this lawn mower nothing fancy but who needs a fancy mower to cut grass. great buy and great mower.
