      Craftsman 17175 6 am Corded Reciprocating Saw December 18, 2010

      Bought it for my husband and he loves it. We never buy any other brand of tools. Craftsman is guaranteed and we never have any problems taking anything back. The tools are guaranteed for life. All you have to do is take the broken tool in and they replace it with no questions asked. Where can you find that type of no hassle guarantee. My husband has been buying craftsman tools for over 40 years and he won't buy any other brand.

      Great for wood, worthless for metal. December 09, 2011

      Bought this thing because it was a bargain. Works fine for wood and would probably work fine on metal too if it weren't for the worthless tool less blade clamp system. The slightest kick back on any kind of metal will take your blade from you and leave it stuck in the metal. This happened on sheet metal and decently thick pipe. If you are going to cut metal, stick to a model with an allen wrench chuck, because this thing will **** you off. Does have decent power for the amps, will bog down a bit when cutting through 8 inch thick or so wood and thicker metals, but still keeps on truckin. Didn't see much use in the light, it's cute, but rather pointless. It is light and easy to use with the blade facing in either direction so you can position yourself in a good way for those tough to get to cuts. Good for light to medium use on wood, worthless for metal cutting.

      I found this to be the perfect saw for lighter duty usage. Powerful enough for around the house use. Comfortable to use, easy blade attach/detach. Glad I purchased this item

      I love this it's nice cause you can use it on about anything let me explain we had his junk car and I was board and I just got my saw so i started cutting on it by time i was done it took 5 blades dont forget it was a car 10 hours later that car was cut to little pieces it's a good saw and it wont go dead on you cause it don't take batteries

      I wanted to saw something but I just can't handle a regular hand saw. Either my hand saw isn't sharp enought or my jig saw makes the cut crooked. I also need a saw that is corded. I hate the saws you have to charge and then the charge runs out before you are finished. This did the trick.
