    Great starter Mechanic's tool set. April 08, 2011

    I purchased this set last fall when I worked as a mechanic, and it has helped me to better understand the basics of the trade. The sockets seem to cover the challenges of assembling and disassembling various parts of vehicles to get to where a problem may be. The ratchets are the perfect length and the quick release buttons are great for getting different size sockets on and off quickly.

    The case is a good size, not too big, not too small, and fits nicely in the trunk of my car. Never have any problems with the latches staying closed.

    The only issue I found was that the wrench slots are ineffective. They don't hold the wrenches in place and cause them to protrude too much into the storage area in the bottom of the case. I solved that problem by purchasing a Craftsman rollup tool pouch and keep them in the bottom of the case.

    The storage area in the bottom works well for storing additional sockets that I've purchased, until I can purchase a tool chest for my tools.

    Missing pieces January 04, 2011

    All parts came in bags and had to be sorted into the case. The bags were not sorted in any logical order and contained a variety of different sizes and parts that required individual scrutiny of every socket. In the end I had 2 - 10mm open end wrenched and no 15mm wrench. I reported this to the Sears customer service website over a week ago but have had not yet heard from them. The tools themselves appear to be of good quality but the quality control of the packaging and customer service needs improvement.

    Excellent set of tools, craftsman quality, lifetime guarantee, pretty much every size I will need to work on my vehicles. However, All the sockets are hot held in place in the case. So, it works great on a flat surface but if you close the sides ALL of the sockets fall out. Overall for the price very satisfied with the tools.

    Very complete set of metric and SAE wrenches and sockets. I also like that there is space for a few extra's in the well organized and compact case. I could have gone for some more substantial feeling ratchet handles though.

    i like this product. It was all the tools that you need and to most commoned tools. The other thing that i like about the tool set is the case. the case is a nice size it fits anywhere that u want to place it. The other thing that i like is that all the tools and the case is that all the tools have a spot in the case and its all organized. And i would tell all my freinds to try to get one for them.
