Craftsman  20 Gallon Portable Horizontal Air Compressor with Hose and Kit

I purchased this air compressor to replace my 20 year old Craftsman air compressor which I gave to my son. Sadly, this new one (MADE IN CHINA) died on me after just a year and a half. The motor made a bang and will not turn. Piston is fine, compressor is fine, but the motor is shot. No one carries motors for these things as they are most likely the most expensive part and not worth repairing. In my opinion, the power tool reputation of Craftsman is no better than the others, yet you pay extra for the name. This will most likely be the last Craftsman power tool I buy. Just another reason why Sears has problems competing.

I have been setting up a wood working shop in my garage for a few months. I was looking at a pancake compressor and my Dad suggested this compressor, awesome advise. This not only handles all my air nailers with ease, it is big enough to handle most jobs with minimal recharge. It also works great with my Craftsman sand blaster. Any home shop would be blessed to have this great piece of equipment.

150PSI is plenty of power.  When it's not being used, it slowly loses compression and has to turn itself back on without being used.  It needs to hold air better, but runs air tools just fine.  Decent portability.  Loud.  Rather expensive.  Works good, average value.

I bought this Air Compressor to replace my Antique DeVilbiss (1936).  I use a small air nailer and stapler with my home projects with the usual air ups for bikes.  Though this is not a professional compressor to run major air tools for long periods of time,  it is perfect for the occasional home project.  It is compact, takes up little space and is light enough to roll out to the driveway to blow the grass/debris off my lawn mower or air up the vehicle tires.  I even used my paint sprayer to redo my bathroom.    Love it and highly recommend it.

This was a replacment,or so they call it for a fine compressor that had a recall they could not fix,It will not pump up my tire on my wheel barrow,forget about an air tool

I have a small plug in the cigerrette liter that works better from the dollar tree,but it won't hook up an air tool-Went to sell it on Craigslist and the same compressor is selling for $65.00 and there seven at the time I looked,I will be buying elsewhere now for everything,and to yhink I was going to buy a Laptop from them-What a waste of a company now

I've had this model for over ten years, and when the regulator is set to 90 lbs, it runs my Craftsman impact wrenches well enough to take off lug nuts, even if someone else torqued them on too tight.  Maybe it's your wrench?  This compressor is fine for a back yard mechanic.  My only issue is the horizontal set up.  If I had it to do over again, I'd get the vertical one, as it is easy to store in a garage where it doen't take up as much floor space.

my husband recently purchased a craftsmar air compressor. he's been wanting one for quite some time. it has already been making some of the hardest jobs so much easier to tackle. i'm glad craftsman is such a good product and the lifetime guarantee is great. would definitely recommend to any and every one.

We have purchased my husband his craftsman air compressor. He has been working on finishing up his garage/workshop with the final tools. I don't believe they will be the final tools since he is an aircraft mechanic and loves tools. We appreciate all of the craftsman products and love the guarantee they come with. Thank you Sears!
