Craftsman Pressure Washer starts easily and cleans very well April 11, 2011

I bought my Craftsman Pressure Washer about two years ago. I immediately unloaded it from my truck when returning from the store and began to use it to pressure wash my house. I had a little trouble at first figuring out how to get the cleaning solution to come out but went to the users guide and was washing my house in just a few minutes. The machine was powerful and done a very good job. I let the hose touch the muffler without knowing it and quickly burned a hole in it and my washing was done for the day.

After I went and purchased a new hose a week or so later I began to wash my deck. On this particular model the different tips were stored in a holder on the wand. The only trouble I have ever had with this machine is keeping the tips in the holder. The first time I realized they were gone I thought I had lost one but I eventually found it. I now keep them in my pocket as I am using the pressure washer and store them on a shelf in my garage when I am not.

I took the pressure washer out of storage last spring and it started right up with no problems. I am very happy with it and would reccomend it to anyone who asked.

Dangerous Pump Failure November 18, 2010

After about 2 hours of total use one of the plastic fittings of the pump blew out, narrowly missing my wife's head where she was gardening on the other side of the yard and putting a visible ding in the cinderblock wall.

I only use a pressure washer a couple of times a year, so I felt this price range would fit the bill for intermittent use, but this is unacceptable. Not what one would call premature wear.

Sears was no help at all. After shopping there for more than 30 years I've given up on them. Replacing the made-in-china pump with another one having the same design flaw did not seem like it was worth the cost of repair, anyway.

I managed to find an aftermarket pump made in Italy, with brass fittings, and it has worked fine since.

Somebody at Sears no doubt earned a bonus while destroying the Craftsman reputation. Now that Levi's are made offshore and I've found good US made jeans online, there's no reason to ever shop at Sears again.

Starts easy every time. Good pressure for just about anything. Only down side is theres no place to hang the hose - just have to wrap it around its handle.

This pressure has enough power to do the jobs I need to do. It starts very easy and on one pull. It isn't as loud as other pressure washers. I used it to wash the siding on my house and it did a great job. I also cleaned a concrete pad that my AC unit sits on without any cleaner.

This is the best bang for your buck as far as I am concerned. Received in one day and worked like a charm. Lots of accessories, levels of spray and this is the same proven and reliable engine on my craftsman lawnmower. Not as loud as you would think and easy to move around. Five stars all around for performance and build quality.
