    A great value for the price October 13, 2010

    I was looking for a low cost tool storage containers. I had purchased all 3 components for a great price. I feel I got my money's worth. If you are looking for heavy duty toolboxes that will take a beating this is not for you. If you are looking for a Low Cost, lighter duty storage for your tools this is a great buy.

    Cheaply made and not worth the Money September 03, 2010

    I received this as a gift from my wife.  I wanted a Craftsman's tool box like my son bought about 2 years ago.  This IS NOT IT!  The model he got is no longer made.

    This one is flimsy. The lid does NOT lock the drawers only the top. Instead it has 2 bars that slide in front of them which were bent & didn't fit right so the paint scratched off. It was also dented were the bars fit into the bottom. The lid was misaligned so the lock didn't even work correctly.  You had to pull on the back side of the lid froward to get it to lock. Even the Craftsman logo was crooked.

    I am extremely disappointed.  Craftsman use to mean something, a quality product, but those days are long gone.

    Good basic chest, provides enough space for most items. Drawers slides a little difficult (not ball-bearing slide) but better than products sold by other vendors for comparable price.

    Ordered online and picked up at the store. Process worked very smoothly. The metal that these are made of seems pretty thin. I am concerned about the durability. The drawers are pretty stiff and don't slide easily at all, but I guess I should have paid more and gotten the ones with the ball bearing glides. Not even close to professional grade but I think will be ok for light homeowner use.

    I BROUGHT THIS BOX AND THE MATCHING CENTER UNIT ABOUT 1 YEAR AGO. AT THE TIME, MY CHOICE WAS ALMOST SOLELY DICTATED BY THEIR COST. SINCE THEN, I AM REMINDED OF THIS TOOLS SHORT COMINGS EVERY TIME I GO TO IT. THOUGHT I COULD MAKE DUE AND LEARN TO LIVE WITH IT. BUT HAVE FOUND THAT I REGRET EVER SPENDING A DIME ON THIS TRASH. THERE NO PROS TO LIST, AND ITS CONS ARE WELL DOCUMENTED. BEWARE!!!
