Craftsman  26.5 in. Wide 5 Drawer Bottom Chest, Black

I already had one older box but this one is larger and stronger. I'm using it for a saw base and its solid and a good addition to my workshop

Overall the box is good. Being able to put more weight in the drawer would be better because in some drawers 50 lbs just isn't enough for me,

5 stars for the design, but 1 for Sears. I bought this in the store on my second visit after waiting for an hour on my first one and getting no assistance. I then waited another half hour for the clerk to keep walking (slowly) back into the warehouse to see if he had it in stock. I got it home it was damaged in shipping. The top lip was bent, but not enough to warrant going through the hassle of dealing with the store clerk again. And these people are on commission!? Really?? But I like that the drawer liners I bought fit each drawer perfectly and the design of the chest is right on for the money. Too bad Sears doesn't know how to handle retail, because their tools really are great for a homeowner like me.

Back in High School 1973, I purchased this same Craftsman 26.5" wide 5-Drawer Gray Hammer finish with Black drawer roll around tool chest, to keep the tools I was starting to use in one place. In 1975 I joined the US Air Force and left it at home. Turns out for the last 26 years my brother has been using it. Not at home mind you. He has it next to his other tool chest's at work in a School Bus repair facility in the State of New York. It is still in pretty good condition, even though it is located in the rust belt, does not have roller sliding drawers, and is full of heavy welding supplies. It still has the original wheels, slides and has never been repainted. It is worn but I would defiantly rate that as OUTSTANDING!

No, the quality isn't what we grew up with......But, for a typical home-owner this is a solid option that should last 15+ years...remember to wax it! I have 40+lbs in 2 drawers and they open & close easily; no sag or drag. I like having 5 drawers over the similarly sized 4-drawer unit.. Most of my big handtools have their own carrying case, so no need for fewer, larger drawers. It is a little tough to unlock wheels and suggest you inspect the chest carefully for damage.

This is the second time I am writing this as the program keeps kicking me out. Ohwell, I purchased 3 of these at the same time. I am using them in my daylight basement and hoped they would all look alike. Well, one came with a totally different wheel type. Thus, they don't match. In addition, one of the drawers would not open at first. I had to work on it quite a while and then found that they frame was not attached to the roller the way it should be. I used two friends of mine to help haul them down in the basement and I was too embarassed to asked them to haul them back out so I could take them back. The only items that need to be assembled are the wheels and the handle. That went pretty easy. I am still angry that Craftsman does not do any quality assurance on their stuff before they send it out. I recommend buying from someone else. You might as well save some money. The Craftsman product has sure gone down hill over the years.

Totally suits my needs. Easy mobility. The drawers function smoothly. I am pleased with this purchase.

My husband has looked & looked for a high-quality tool chest, and he has been very pleased with this purchase.  He is quite picky, and this met all his expectations.  Drawers were all good sized and fit everything he needed.  I'm happy because all the tools are now in one place instead of scattered all over the garage.  Definitely recommend this one...it's a keeper!

I really do like this chest, but the screw pack for the casters only had 15 of the 16 screws.  Now if only I could order just that one screw...

I use this cabinet to earn a living maintaining business jets in a 100 person maintenace facility. The wheels hold up well. Over the course of a year, I've literally pushed this cabinet over 20 miles inside the aircraft hanger I work in. I like the large, wide drawer handles compared to the small, narrow handles in other Craftsman tool boxes. I like how the drawers are laid out. There's plenty of room for large tools such as a drop light, extension cords, cordless drill, pneumatic tools, and other bulky tools. I have over 70 sockets and 40 wrenches and the drawers are smooth and can support the weight just fine. The lock hasn't failed me and holds all drawers securely closed. As a professional, I highly recommend this cabinet for earning a living with.
