      Good stand for the price August 19, 2010

      Really nice stand for the price. And for the record you can adjust height. Sure, I would have preferred a commercial type but I wasn't paying $250 and up. And as I am a home handy man this is fine. I find using some weight over the bottom bars works for fine cuts. Light but sturdy and easy to use and pre-assembled. I switch between my miter saw and bench grinder and scroll saw and am quite pleased. For under $70.00 it is a good buy!

      Doesn't fit the Craftsman saw I bought February 02, 2011

      At the store, I was assured this would fit the Craftsman sliding miter saw I purchased (Craftsman 12'' Single Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw (21239)).

      I had no reason to doubt them... after all, they're both Craftsman tools. However, when I got it home, the holes did not line up; the table arms could not be widened enough to let all four bolts attach.

      The table does have an adjuster, you can widen it a little more than it's set to out of the box... but as wide as it would go, it still wasn't wide enough for this saw. This saw is not a high-end specialty saw; it's a standard Craftsman miter saw.

      When I called the number on the saw's documentation (there's no number for the table), I was told that "Craftsman is just a brand, the tools are made by all sorts of companies. They don't collaborate on their designs". I asked him what table would be compatible... he told me he would have no way of knowing.

      Excuse me? When I buy a Craftsman tool, I don't expect any old company to be making it. I expect tools to be compatible. I expect there to be a central place I can go to to discuss any issues I have, regardless of the tool or who made it.

      A very enlightening experience. One that left me extremely displeased.

      I bought a craftsman mitre saw and this table and oddly enough they don't fit together. I'm returning the table and hopefully I can find one that will work with the mitre saw :( Kinda disapointed since they are both craftsman.

      portable & lightweight

      I bought this for my husband for Christmas to go with 10" Craftsman miter saw. It works great supporting the saw, AND his other Craftsman powertools. The only thing he said it was missing to make it 5 star worthy is an actual side table to put his work on, so he uses a seperate stand. For anyone who thinks it doesn't fit other standard Craftsman powertools, simply loosen the screws on frame and adjust it to the width of the tool you're using, then tighten them back in place. It is an adjustable stand that's strong and sturdy for most any home project.

      I don't know why other people are having so much trouble with mounting Power Saws on this folding Stand? I have one that I mounted a Craftsman 12 inch Slide Miter on it and did not have any trouble mounting the saw on it. The other people must not have had a Erector Set to play with when they young like I did.

      not built heavy enough

      I mounted my 13 inch Ridgid planer on this stand it can support the planer, but I doubt it will hold up when I start planeing oak boards.
