    This IS my favorite ratchet September 19, 2010

    I've had this Craftsman ratchet for many years and it has yet to let me down. The longer handle gives greater leverage when tightening and loosening nuts and bolts. I was used to breaking about a ratchet a month (the cheaper Craftsman ratchets) but since I got this I have not had one return. Excellent ratchet!

    Disappointed in ratchet mechanism of the long handle ratchet March 17, 2011

    The fit, finish and look of this ratchet is top notch. It has a great solid feel in the hand. Unfortunately, the ratchet mechanism doesn't live up to expectations. The socket attachment point (where you put the socket) is wobbly. This doesn't inspire confidence when your pulling hard on it. As well, as quite a few others have mentioned, there just aren't enough teeth in the head. This means it requires a broader swing arc to engage each "click". Given the handle length, it really should have more teeth so that you can work in tight areas where swing length is limited but not depth, e.g. cranking on a sway bar end link in between the fender and engine.

    However, for the casual user, this would be a fine server.

    Great sturdy ratchet for getting tough small bolts out. Ratchet has a longer handle with a great design and feel. Other long handle ratchets can cost up to 150$ and do not have the ez return warranty of Craftsman. I have used and broken many other tools, but the local sears stores just make it easy to replace and get any other tools I need to get the job done.

    very nioce ratchet very fine tooth so better in smaller hard to get places and not haviong to hold onto the socket as much and nice for the extra leverage without having to go and get a 1/2 drive ratchet or a piece of pipe lol and that alwys tend to break them or bend the handles

    not enough ratchet teeth

    Even though they are not made the way they used to be, they are still good products for the price... This is not a great rachet, but it is a good one for daily use by professional mechanics.... This was actually a replacement rachet..
