    Learn how to use this jack May 05, 2011

    It's amazing how many people you see in these reviews who shouldn't even be buying tools because they aren't mechanically inclined enough to use them in the first place. If the jack is too tall to fit under your vehicle, DRIVE ONTO A 2X6 FIRST, THEN JACK IT UP....problem solved. If the jack lowers after 30 minutes you probably don't have the relief tight enough, and you need to get a life instead of sitting around watching a jack drop a quarter inch when you should have had it on jack stands in the first place. If you smash your finger getting it out of the box because you aren't smart enough to unpack it, maybe you should reconsider your skills and have a friend do the work for you. If it's too heavy, try rolling it...it has wheels on it for that purpose. You might also try doing a few more push ups and whining a little bit less.

    Needs more safety labeling for unpacking November 20, 2010

    The product is very heavy, so adequate precaution needs to be taken while carrying. Also while unpacking, I found that there is wedge block between the handle bar holder and jack chassis. The instruction manual asked to remove the wedge block without any safety instructions. When I removed the wedge block, the spring loaded handle bar holder snapped back with great force and my little finger which happened to be in the open space in-between the jack chassis and handle bar holder, was crushed. I suffered severe pain and injury to the little finger which took several weeks for healing.

    The price was right (on sale) compared to other prices I found online for different hydraulic jacks. My son used it to work on my lawn mower and it worked perfectly. I anticipate it working great on my truck or car as well.

    I got this floor jack to work on my 99 Mustang and 96 Explorer. I had no problems using it under my Mustang with 17inch wheels. Just be careful when unpacking the jack as its seriously heavy and I also hurt my finger badly like the other reviewer. Other than that its a pretty decent floor jack.
