Craftsman  31cc* 2-Cycle Straight Shaft WeedWacker™ Gas Trimmer

Going from a old 21cc to a 31cc is a big difference. It can be surprisingly heavy after awhile. I would recommend buying a strap of your going to carry it around a lot. The options to add attachments are a big help. I didn't want to buy several different machines when this one can pretty much handle everything I need to do. It's worth the price.

This trimmer is actually fun to use. It blasts through just about anything and the straight shaft is so much easier on my back. I don't think it's for the average homeowner who's just looking to trim around a mailbox because it's very powerful. The only drawback is that it has an odd starting sequence - so make sure you read the directions before operating.

I've used this twice now. Easiest trimmer to start I have ever owner. Great quality. The only problem is it's the heaviest trimmer I ever owned. I am actually thinking of taking it back and exchanging for something else. That is the problem of ordering something over th Internet and you don't have it in your hands beforehand. If it wasn't so heavy I'd love it.

I bought this one last year. Worked good in tough grass. Just don't have same feel and other weedeaters I have had in past. I must have gotten a Lemon because this year it got hard to crank. Finally would not crank at all. Presently is has been shipped back for repair.

This weed eater is hard to start an heavy. I had to pull many times to start it. Then when i was using it it would bog down easily. It stalled many times during lite use. I was not happy with this and will be returning it.

I had the 32cc and it was much more power and easy to start this on is definalyy not a match even 1cc less than my old one.

It worked fine for one year. I bought this in March 2012 and it trimmed the edges fine. Cranked it up for the first time in 2013 and after five minutes the head stopped spinning. I opened up the gearbox and the gear is worn off right above where the head is. It looks like the gear is made of aluminum or some soft allow. Another issue is this weedeater runs backwards from standard ones. That means that when the head needs replacing you'll have to buys Craftsman-not a generic. The threads are standard instead of reverse thread like most cutters.

Bought this trimmer last year and it works great. Only complaint is that the bump feature to give you more line stopped working after only 5 times using it, now have to manually pull line out as needed. All in all a good trimmer for the price. It started right up after winter and has been cutting thick brush, with just the string, like a champ. Very ahppy with this purchase, even though some have gotten some defective units.

31cc. for a medium duty's excellent, detachable, so one tool does it all, light weight for those who work long period of time like me can't ask for better. Over all, im happy with this item and, you will too.
