    Craftsman 4 pc. Hook & Pick Set-Tools to Operate By! October 25, 2010

    Since investing in my 1st Craftsman hand tools 35 years ago, I've owned some type\brand of hook & pick tool set. They are just so invaluable at small delicate work...reaching into tight crevices to remove\replace o-rings, pull cable and wire, operate small mechanical mechanisms and general detailed work that my fat fingers can't get into!

    I've broken quite a few of these useful gems, mostly due to cheap manufacturing, wear and tear and too small a tool for the task. However, this nice size Craftsman set with comfort grip cushion has out lasted them all, nar a broken unit over the past 5 years of frequent use\abuse! I've fixed many problems with these and due to their quality, feel they'll be around for many more home task to come!

    Buy the Craftsman 4pc 941513 Instead, This set is junk. December 28, 2010

    First of all, I do not abuse tools and I certainly did not misuse this tool. I know it is for light use. I bought this pick set as an impulse buy while also purchasing 4pc pick set 941513. I thought this set would be better suited for tight spaces since they are longer and handles are narrower. Both sets were the same price, however there is no comparison between the two. I first attempted to use this set to pull a plastic end cap off my toolbox handle. The "L" pick just spun around. I grabbed the end and twisted it effortlessly. I thought it was not screwed in tight but I was surprised when it pulled easily out of the handle. "Okay", I thought, must have just got a bad pick...my next attempt was with the hook. The rubber on the pick pulled half off the handle with very little effort. "Are you kidding me!" I promptly pulled the package out of the garbage and put them back for return. I was annoyed to see the "made in USA" on the back. The other pick set works good and it is well secured in the handle. Buy that one. I am restocking a much needed tool list and I hope to give many future better reviews on the +$700 worth of Craftsman tools I bought that I haven't tried yet. I hope the rest of the Craftsman brand is as good as the sets I bought in the late 80's... at least better than this set.

    I use these for EVERYTHING, especially cleaning. I have used them for stripping, remodeling, picking the lock on my toolbox.My only complaint is that I can't always find them when I need them!

    Bought these and they get the job done I have only one problem they keep coming unscrewed at the handle so I put some lock tight on the threads and that fixed the problem. Other then that they are great.

    Grips do not hold up under heavy use

    I have had these for years and probably warrantied them two or three times. When warranting them, you have to as a whole set; even if the others are not broken. When oily, the grips slide off. Sometime the picks break very easily too.
