    Craftsman 54 inch garden tractor is powerful and well made. April 06, 2011

    This craftsman 54 inch 26hp V-twin Kohler garden tractor is powerful and well made. Mows tough weeds and turns easily. Very satisfied with performance and handling ability. If field is wet or muddy it would be good to add the extra weights. The mulching blades provide a finer cut.

    I would highly recommend this garden tractor for use in California.

    mower broke after three months of use! November 22, 2011

    this mower was not worth the money at all. tractor was not used hard at all. the only thing i used it for was to mow a 3 acre yard. had to have a tech out three times and they decided it was unreparable. the delivery team was a hassle to deal with, and no one knew where or when they would get it here. delivery day came for the replacement , and no tractor showed up. they then said they will have it here the following week! This is the last thing i ever buy from Sears!

    tractor and support was very very poor

    I've had my GT 5000 for about eight years, maybe slightly longer and it has out performed my expectations every time. Pulled logs, hauled over a half ton of  cut tree rounds, cleared weeds, and even use it to run down to the mail box. I live on 2.5 acres and there is always something to do that involves using this tractor. I never quits. The property is slightly "hilly" and even pulling that half ton, it never slowed down. Didn't even labour pulling that load up hill.

    It is a true work horse.

    If you are looking for a strong small tractor to help care for those projects on your property, this is it!

    When this one dies, and that may take a while, I'll be looking to get another just like it.

    Been a big ********** fan and user for 15 years, both riding and walk behind mowers. Bought the best walk behind 6 months ago and it did not perform as expected, (neither did the dealer). Wifey and children blessed me with this big ol Craftsman mower and I must say I am impressed. The mower is durable, ( mowed 2' dry weeds without any hesitation. Mulches the proper grass as neatly as if it was hand mowed and bagged. Where the lawn was overgrown, I simply made a second pass and all clippings were so fine did not need to rake or bag. Now we'll give it the summer long test and re-review this fall. So far all I can say is Grand-pa wouldbe pleased, Sears and Craftsman are back with quality products that we all can depend on for value and dependability. By the way the money we saved compared to that green and yellow paint will be greatly appreciated in these trying times.
