    Great value February 26, 2009

This tripod is great. Its height extends taller than I would have thought, which is great. My significant other's only gripe is that he wished it had a leveler on the head that holds the camera, although there is a leveler for the tripod itself. I don't think it takes away from the value of this tripod though. I would highly recommend it.

    Flimsy March 18, 2007

When I first set it up I knew it reminded me of something but it took a while to figure out what it was. It reminded me of those Bobble heads that people put on their dashboards. Every joint in the head has play in it no matter how tight you try to tighten the knobs and as a result the level "bobbles" around. Very poor design in my opinion. The legs are fine but the head has a problem. The only good thing was that it was inexpensive.

Ok tripod; probably above average for the money January 05, 2012

    Pros:
    Stable
    Cons:
Not all pictured parts are included,There isn't a level

First I want to admit that this is my first tripod.

Everything does tighten down good except for the tilt (controled with the handle) which was just a little tight for me so I lubercated...too much, my fault. The quick release bracket that goes on the camera is nice but does take a little time to remove the bracket from the camera. (You can get a few extra inches if you narrow up the base a bit (not as stable though)).

The legs flex a little. I wouldn't recomend this tripod for a very expensive camera, especially coupled with outdoor enviornments (especially strong wind).
I am comfortable using it outdoors on days when the wind isn't strong with my $850 camera.

I wish it had a level...

My biggest disapointment: the handle pictured (opposite side of crank) was NOT included. The tripod is still functional without it but I am very disapointed that the product would vary so much from the pictures online. False advertising.

If I had paid something like a $100 I would be very disapointed (mainly in the leg strength and stability on a windy day) but considering the price I really can't complain. This is definatly worth the money and meets my purposes.

Excellent bang for the buck March 14, 2009

I looked at many tripods, even bought and returned. This one is very sturdy and well built for the price. An excellent tripod. It functions smoothly and the leg locks tighten snug. Holds whatever you put on it sturdy.
