    Craftsman 8.25 Torque Rating (190CC) Front Tine Tiller is nice April 08, 2012

    The Craftsman 8.25 Torque Rating (190CC) Front Tine Tiller is great for home projects. My wife tilled our 25 x 50 garden last year. We drained the gas, cleaned it up, and stored it for the winter. Last weekend, she got it out, gassed it up, and tilled the garden again. No problems at all.

    I bought this tiller 3 years ago. I have a garden plot 12' x 30' that I have been using it in. Last season while changing the oil I noticed a piece of metal had broken off inside the oil chamber. I have been told this helps splatter the oil inside the chamber. Since that time the engine has been blowing lots of blue smoke and the spark plug keeps fouling. I have put about 40 hours on this engine. I have had several repair shops evaluate what it would take to repair it and not one wants to touch it for under $100 and the final bill would probably be more. The bearing on the tiller shaft is also shot and warn out. I would pass on buying this product. The price is attractive but based on my experience you get what you pay for. Look for something a little more reliable.
