    Great little aerator July 04, 2007

    I purchased this aerator thinking the same as everyone else... How well does it work. If we could post photo's I'd show you my lawn, it's green, lush, and a pleasure to look at and walk on. This little contraption plunges deep enough to get some air and water down to the roots. It's not hard to use, and works like it should. Storage of course can be hard with only a two car garage and I like the dual purpose spreader/aerator and I think is a much better use of the implement than just one or the other (especially if you are tight on storage).

    i am an avide buyer of craftsman products and allways like them this item however is 99% worthless im sorry to say it is a little bit of a pain to assemble, it clogs very soon, it dumps out on its own burning your lawn, the spikes only go in approx. an inch, and then the cheep plastic quides break after three or four times and the rotator bend if there is any clumps of fertilizer i wont even try to resell simply purchase and then throw out.

    Works just as described. I purhcase 2 wks ago and took about 3 hours to assemble the unit. So far I have used it to perform my spring aeration and put down my fertiler and seeds. The discs do a good job of scoring the soil and allows the seed/fertilzer to drop. I'm definitely glad I bought this. One modification I would suggest for this product is the ability to weigh down the unit. This would give the aerator constant weigh and deeper score lines. But overall the discs do a good job.

    This works great! We use it to aerate twice a year. We also used it to place seed and fertilizer down...the lawn looks great! This unit does everything you need for a great looking lawn. To have someone aerate one time would have been over $127. This pays for itself after the first use. It punches holes into the soil and allows the seed to drop in without any extra work from you. We have heavily compacted clay soil, so we have to aerate yearly. This also allows our lawn treatments to work much better as well. We are definitely glad we bought it.
