    Craftsman c3 tools are hard to beat March 23, 2011

    I've been buying CRAFTSMAN TOOLS for over 30 years and the C3 power tools have truly impressed me.

    I purchased a C3 drill whehn they first came out and still use it weekly or more often.

    I used the saw right away and with great results.

    The tools are lightweight yet sturdy , which makes my jobs easier.

    Four power products for this price can't be beat. I paid as much or more for my 1st C3 drill alone.

    I'm shocked that my prior C3 product's battery cannot be charged by this charger. There is a slight difference in the battery contact to charger area that won't fit this charger!! The batteries interchange in all these products , but the charger issue may be due to making the new chargers lightweight.

    No one hour charger as advertised in web page December 31, 2010

    Good product except for the charger. Cheap overnight charger provided in the set. Web page claims it a 1 hour charger. Contacted Sears and was referred to the disclaimer page for possible errors in the web sight. Service representative was gracious enough to send me a link to their most expensive one hour charger they sell for $79.00. just in case I wanted to purchase it.

    For Christmas I had my name in the family 'grab bag' for a cordless reciprocating saw, preferrably Craftsman. What I got was the Craftsman 4 Tool Combo Kit--Sears#9/25777. This is a well thought out kit with four of the most used and, I'm sure, most sought after Tools in ONE box, and tools that are made to work in tandem with each other...again, well thought out.

    First is the reciprocating saw with a few blades. I popped the 19.2 battery in the saw, attached the blade, an easy task, and went to work pruning and removing some sumac shrubs about 150' from the closest electric source. Much easier to use in tight spaces than a chain saw.

    Second, the 19.2 volt 2 speed drill which has plenty of torque adjustments. I can do slow and steady drilling or drive a screw home lightning quick. The base of the drill has spaces for the included 2 double-sided bits, slotted and Phillips, and a bubble leve at the back to ensure you're drilling is "on the level". Again, the battery acts as a base on this well balanced tool.

    The third part of this quartet of tools is the Craftsman hand vac with a crevice attachment. Gets into really tight places and picks up the sawdust and shavings left by the first two tools.

    Lastly, the shop light. As with the others, the battery makes a great base, and the revolving head aims the light to JUST where you need it. I like this 4 tool set so much I got another 19.2 volt battery and a multi-charger, because you can use these tools in tandem in many cases. There you have it...My Favorite Craftsman Power tools...and maybe yours too?

    C3 charger is too slow

    This combo set is awsome. The charger is slow however it also works on my older 19.2-volt batteries. I do wish it came with two batteries, so one can be charging while the other one is being used.
