    No More Mixing March 27, 2010

    Around our house, the string trimmer is the most often used outdoor equipment. I wanted the most powerful and dependable unit I could find and this seemed to be just what I wanted. I have always been very happy with Craftsman products and so far this one is no exception. The trimmer starts so easily I almost forgot about the last trimmer that took 20-30 pulls to get running. This unit went right to work cutting some very tall and thick grass with minimal effort right out of the box. I am looking forwards to getting even more use this year with some of the attachments available.

    Don't waste your time or money July 30, 2007

    I thought,,,,again I will say I thought, I was buying a quality product from Sears as I have for the past 30 years. After I brought home my first one, the cord for starting it froze with the cord hanging out. Took it back and got another one,,this one is very hard to start and I do mean very hard but after it starts, the cable knocks in the shaft. The trimmer attachment cable broke the second time I used it. Just a piece of junk this trimmer is. So I have reverted to my old 2-cycle that is more than 12 years old that I got from Sears and it works great and starts the first pull.

    I got this needing a trimmer since my homelite crapped out on me. The only downside to this one is it is not as long as i want it to be. but other then that i have no complaints. it will start with 2 pulls one on choke and the other on half choke, let it warm up for a min or so and i am good to go till the gas runs out. It is a great trimmer for anything you have.

    I always felt it was a good idea to buy Crafstman tools. This one worked well for the first few months. then it took longer and longer to start. I gave up on it after a while. The connectors at the base would always disconnect for no reason. I would prefer the regular line spool. Sometimes it would take a tool to get out the old lines as they would heat up and stick to the metal spool. I invested in the edger attactment but now that the trimmer won't start, I have a useless tool. A real dissapointment.

    This thing rocks. I really like mine. It starts right up every time with a minimum of effort and really goes like crazy. I also have the edger attachment which really works great too. This thing beats the heck out of my old weed-eater brand trimmer. I recommend buying the edger attachment because it has a better handle than the stock one that comes with the trimmer.
