    Craftsman Nextec 12.0 Volt Right Angle Driver delivers the goods April 02, 2011

    I purchased this driver a couple of weeks ago, and have found numerous chores for it and it has performed very well. I was looking to replace a 5 year old drill and believe that I found a solid choice. I was able to get all of my tools hung in the garage in great time with little effect on the battery for this driver, solid power.

    Poor Light Design on Nextec Right Angle Impact Driver November 24, 2010

    I purchased this specifically because I wanted a light on the tool for working in darker places.  I was very disappointed when I learned that the light wouldn't come on until the drill was spinning.  In my opinion, the purpose of a light is to get the tool onto the screw, but if the tool is already spinning to get the light, how can you put the tool on the screw?

     

    A good light design needs to have the light come on with the trigger slightly depressed to see what you are doing, and then the second stage starts the motor spinning.  Shame on the engineers for making a useless light.

    The Nextec impact driver is powerful and easy to handle May 21, 2012

    The driver works well with square drives. It is light and easy to use. The angle driver can reach areas other screwdrivers can't. The only con is the switch for forward, reverse, and lock is too easy to move. I could accidentally switch to lock while using the tool. Other than that, it is a great value and plus to have in your toolbox.

    Worked well to put tin on a pole shed. Bought this when my father-in-law wouldn't give up my Nextec 12 volt impact driver. This unit seemed to fit into tool belt easy, with weight at top end and put in top down, never slipped out of pouch.

    Not overly powerful, but for home use and light duty this driver works well. I love the Lithiom ion battery. It's nice to get full power until the battery is completely dead. I have owned this for two weeks and I have used it in numerous places around the house.
