    Personalization was done perfectly and the turn-around time surprised the heck out of me, including how quick someone called to take my order after clicking on the personalization option. If there are any downsides it would be: Customer leaves 'normal' checkout when personalizing an item so there's really no confirmation computerized confirmation process. There is an order confirmation by the CSR on the phone. We'll be enjoying these tools a long time!! Jake

    I ordered this tool for my boyfriend. It's nice and heavy like a real tool so it makes a fun gift. I had it engraved with his initals but they were so small you can barely even read them. I had to point them out to him because he had no idea they were even there. In other reviews I read about chips around the head of it and mine also had them, but only 2 or 3 so it wasn't that bad. Tools are made to be used, not pretty, so it didn't really matter to me. This is a nice gift for a guy who loves tools, however, it's really heavy to just carry around in your pocket. Fun party accessory but skip the engraving, its not worth waiting for extra time to ship for something he won't even notice.

    I ordered four of these a while back from the Craftsman Club ad, for folks at our annual "Lumbermen's Camp" in Death Valley, California. They arrived in excellent shape. Each in an individual package. I noticed a couple minor burrs around the edges of the round "shiny surface" where the lettering goes, but nothing that would injure anyone. They were so popular, I should have ordered at least twice as many. I already have advance orders for next year's get together! The only reason I gave a score of 4 on the workmanship is because in the Craftsman Club flyer, they showed them engraved with deep stamped lettering, but they actually arrived with "laser etching" which is not near as bold or impressive. I don't have an issue with the craftsmanship of the product, merely the process used for the lettering, which wasn't as advertised. Perhaps giving a 4 for workmanship isn't exactly fair to the folks who make them...they have to use the process the boss says to use. I just didn't know what other category to use. Otherwise, they are a good product with the usual Craftsman lifetime warranty...but if you can break one of these opening beer bottles I certainly don't want to meet you in a dark alley!!

    I agree with the last review that I read. I have ordered and received 9 of the tools and they were all scratched where the name is engraved. Half of them had rough burs on the edges of them also. If you are not careful they can tear up your hands. I think the tool is a fun idea but the finished product looks pretty rough.
