The glue used to attach the telescope and magnet dried up and fell off of the telescope. Hopefully they will give me another one with the Craftsman lifetime warranty.

I got this because I had some free points I needed to spend. Looks nice and works well, but is kinda flimsey. I already broke mine and need to take it back and get it replaced. There are better pick up tools out there.

Craftsman Pocket Telescopic Magnetic Pick-Up Tool
Great little pocket tool. In my job as an HVAC tech I am always dropping screws that fall into spots I just can't reach, this tool lets me retrieve the screws when I can't get my hands in a tight spot.
I would recommend this product to a friend.

Right Idea, wrong magnet
Just like the "pocket clip" magnet they have, this one is same issue. Good design, and all the right features with the exception of the magnet isn't nearly strong enough. Should have used "rare earth" magnet instead. That would increase the cost of the product by about $0.50, but just about anyone in the craft would be willing to pay that for the extra beef it puts into the model. The "release" they put on it only makes it work worse, because you have to press on the part you want to pick up. You can't just sweep through a pile of saw dust and have it "find" that little bolt you dropped.
