YES YES YES and YES. I LOVE IT
This table saw is AWESOME. I have had and still do a radial arm saw and a smaller bench top 10" table saw. I was making drawers for my kitchen cabinets and just could not get the accuracy OR had problems if cutting large stock (on radial arm saw). So either or. I started looking for a better/larger table saw and they are plentiful for 1000$ and up. I got this on sale for less than 1/2 that. I discovered the following: If you take your time, you can set this saw up so that it is very very accurate. It makes nice square cuts, and doesn't have heeling, kickbacks or other issues. The dust system is very simple, in fact, it works so well I disconnected it from my dust collector. The saw dust falls straight down into a funnel in the bottom I put a bucket under it and when its full, it goes in the compost pile or garden. The dust collector did only slightly better, but its noisy. This leads me to my one minor complaint and that is even with a dust collector (vacuum to clarify) lots of saw dust collects on table and work. Some expensive saws have system that comes down through blade guard etc, whatever. I just keep a little shop brush handy and brush down through blade, (then down into my bucket). The vacuum didn't get any of top dust, so I unhooked. The saw is powerful, and the table large enough to do sheet of plywood (with effort) but I had NO CHANCE to ever consider that. I couldn't cut anything more than about 18" because radial arm would not extend that far out and little table saw fence only went to about 15-16" This saw does it all, dado, large stock, accurate cuts, and power. I love it and for the price? WOW what are you going to suggest in place of it for under 500? There is NOTHING. This is an excellent value and an excellent saw. If you are thinking of stepping up to a bigger better saw? GO FOR IT. Disregard some of the reviews, some people compare this to a 3500 cabinet saw and thats ridiculous. For the price you cannot beat this and even saws costing 1000$ dont always compete. Its a great buy and a great saw. I love it. Best purchase I ever made, my woodworking has improved 100% and the scope and kinds of projects are now limited only by my improving skill and time available. I can do anything I need to do with this saw. Definitely a "5".

Useless
I'm having trouble getting the ripping fence adjusted, the mechanism is pretty Mickey Mouse, and the riving knife doesn't line up perfectly sometimes. I called Sears and they sent a guy over and he agreed, authorizing about $150 in parts to be sent, including the entire aluminum box frame, and the damaged aluminum guide rail in front. That was in May, four telephone calls later and I'm told the parts probably aren't coming before the one year warranty runs out and a replacement offer will cost me almost $250 more, or 50% more. Take it or leave it. Now the saw is worse, self destructing a little more each time I move the fence. Never again Sears. This saw is priced very low so you can expect some minor problems, but when they happen, the warranty process is only for show and will just waste hours of time and make you a lot more angry.

setting it up so far

I got my saw a week ago and yesterday did my work to set it up. My initial disappointment was to find in the inside, on the cast iron structure a lot of corrosion. I wish I could show a picture. I imported the saw to Costa Rica and now cannot send it back, bot was really disappointed. I used a corrosion neutralizer and I hope it will not continue

YOU CAN NOT GET MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK....

I bought this Saw over a year ago and read many review both negative and positive. Most of the complaints had to do with the rails and the fence have manufacturing issues mostly warping most likely in shipping. I must have been lucky because mine had no major issues that could composited for and realignment, which is required for any mass produced saws. More than enough power and built like rock. the cast iron top is well machined and flat and true. Castors make it a breeze to move around make workshop. be prepaired to get a few buddy's to help you move it because it is HEAVY (and I used to be in Army and work on M1A2 Abrams Tank, Weight: 72 Tons; nothing was light on it), so when i say HEAVY I am not joking! I used some of my 500 lb. rated shop carts to move it from the bed of my truck into the workshop. The weight makes the saw incredably stable and limits vibration. The only reason I gave it four stars is because the wings are not cast iron (which you can replace with third party cast iron wings) and the dust collections is located under to saw below the motor. But can easily be hooked up to a dust collector will PVC and Hose. This Saw is built to last and is a joy to use. Buy it because the price point and quality are well balanced for features.

Poor Quality Machine compared with Ridgid model R4512

I've bought this Craftsman table saw a couple of weeks ago and let me tell you that it is the worst machine I ever bought out from Sears, I have previously owned a Ridgid table saw model R4512 and I can tell you with out no doubt that this Ridgid is much better table saw than this Craftsman model 21833

GREAT SAW

I have had this saw for about 5 months now and am impressed with its power and accuracy. I no longer measure items to be cut and just rely on the fence measure. My son is a master carpenter and it was great to see him amazed at the precision of this saw. I must admit I did not intent on buying this as I went to Sears to buy a 239 dollar model. After touching and fiddling with this saw I felt it best to buy what felt like the last table saw I would ever need. GREAT SAW

Easy setup, great mobility.

I agonized for a month before settling on this saw. I saw reviews from a couple of years ago that this saw suffered from blade alignment issues, but since those reviews the problem seems to have been solved. I had no setup issues. The assembly instructions are very clear, and all parts bags are labeled. The blade was square to the miter slots with no adjustment necessary. The fence on this is really great. I've upgraded from an older Craftsman with the crappy fence, you know the one. This is much better. I really like the integrated wheels. I have a small shop and moving the saw around is painless.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

10 inch contractor saw

So glad I listened to Jim at your store. This saw is fabulous. It meets my needs and am having so much fun with it. it's solid and does accurate cuts. I was originally going to purchase a movable saw but after talking to Jim I decided this was the way to go. I really hate that my father in laws antique saw stopped working but this one is a great replacement. I usually buy Craftsman and always have. It's not because I work for Kmart it's just that all m;y Craftsman tools work great. Even the one I replaced was bought from Sears I believe over 60 years ago..

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Overall
A truly sad disappointment

Like most budget minded folks I am not in a financial position to run out and purchase the latest and greatest cabinet saw available, so I settled with the 21833. Even though it wasnt my first choice I figured this would be an excellent saw for the money and I was excited to have it but boy was I wrong. First the assembly instructions arent the worst but could use some better pictures and explanations. It took me quite a while to put this saw together and it still isnt true. The steel extension tables droop, while I used a straight edge and jointed the edges perfectly with cast iron table the droop is quite significant. No shims or instructions are provided to correct the droop. The fence will not stay straight and true and I must spend the frustrating time to tap this fence into place before each and every single cut. The blade that came with this is not the nice one pictured with the saw and it came warped! When you raise the saw blade up and down you can watch the saw blade sort of wiggle around so it also requires measuring the saw blade to the miter slot every time you make any heighth adjustments. And unless you feel like adjusting the 'hard to adjust trunnions' with every cut and leave off the back panel to access the trunnions you may find it best to just leave it at a certain height. The riving knife is difficult to true and bends easier than it should especially with it raised all the way up. I experienced some serious binding issues with this saw it burns wood like crazy and filled the garage up with smoke leaving gouges in the wood and is in my opinion very dangerous. I have had my wife help me with the build and I have had two cousins and neighbor help me with trying to true this saw and when you think you got it, you bump something and its off again. So I am not sure what to due with this thing. I spent all I had to spare on this saw. I certainly cant afford to replace the fence and fix everything else that is wrong with it nor do I want to. Otherwise I would have purchased a cabinet saw since it would cost the same in the end. I have had it less than a month and right now its just a sad reminder of what a poor decision it was to purchase. I had grand plans that are on hold because owning this is the same as not owning a table saw at all because it is essentially useless. Also the blade insert tips towards the back because there is no screw to support it. You just push the back of the insert with your finger and down it goes. This saw aint nothing but a poser, it looks bad and mean and has weight to it but its nothing but a hunk of junk. This saw purchase seriously made me super depressed because of the sacrifices my wife and kids made for me to be able to purchase this saw. Dont buy it guy's do yourself the favor and get a used powermatic or a new grizzly for just a few hundred more.

Good Saw But a Few Shortcomings

I bougfht this saw to replace my 8 year old Craftsman (similar to model 21807) because I needed the added capacity to handle wider boards. Overall it is a good saw, but there are a few minor issues in my opinion. First, there is no outfeed support for boards as they extend past the blade. Next, the blade is set rather far in from the front edge, again at least compared to my older saw, so that you often need to lean over the top of the saw....AND THE SPINNING BLADE....as you finish your cut because you need to hold both pieces or let one fall free...again, because of the lack of an outfeed support....making it a bit unsafe. Lastly, and the most disappointing to me is that the motor/belt driven blade seems underpowered at least compared to the direct drive of my older saw. I do most of my work with mahogany, and I have had the blade come to a DEAD STOP while trying to rip a 3/4" thick piece of wood, something I never experienced on my older saw. But still, overall, I like the saw, as it is much more quiet than my old one, and I like the bottom dust exhaust chute.
