    Craftsman trimmer works great. October 11, 2010

    I was using an inexpensive curved shaft trimmer for many years until it finally broke.  I decided to go with a straigh shaft this time and wanted a professional model that would last a long time.  I got this Craftsman Professional trimmer and I'm very happy.  I haven't had any problems with it all.  The straight shaft lets me trim underneath fences and bushes easily.

    Seems to be a well built Trimmer......... September 28, 2010

    After several uses, this seems to be a well built Trimmer.  I debated whether or not to buy the 2 Cycle unit with the ability to handle additional attachments, but decided to go with the Professional Grade, due to the amount of trimming I have to do.

    One note of attention out of the box;  Look at the gas intake tube inside the tank before you fill with fuel and begin use.  I failed to pay attention at first and began to notice the Trimmer "missing" when the tank was still half full.  Once the Trimmer cooled off, I opened the gas lid and pushed the intake tube down near the bottom of the tank.  I've not experienced a problem with the Trimmer since.

    Unit is very quiet and the neck/shoulder strap will help with the weight if adjusted correctly, but I was expecting a little more power from the unit. 

    I also prefer the stationary head opposed to the self feeding head, both of which come with the Trimmer.

    I was looking to upgrade to a 4 cycle gas trimmer and this item fit the bill. Easy to start, easy to assemble and I love the interchangeable head. Very good throttle response. But I have not yet tried other sizes of line. The line that came with the machine is very sturdy, though.

    This trimmer is AWESOME. It's built to last. It is sturdy and the strap makes the weight of this trimmer lighter on the back. The fact that it comes with two changeable heads is nice. I particulary like the 4 strand easy reload but the reel is just as smooth. I'd recommened you spring a little more for this machine!

    Its a workhorse, the optional head with the line that you replace is great and takes some real punishement. The 4 cycle is the easiest starter I have ever worked with. It is a bit heavy though and can wear you out on long jobs.

    We had pretty tall weeds around the house and used the "snap in" line. We got all around house and ac unit and the line is still long enough for next time. Only con is weight. It is a bit heavy for a small person
