    Great emergency light January 09, 2007

    I bought this light for emergency use such as when the power goes out. Being a ham radio operator I operate in public service at times when there is no ac power. This light is bright and long lived. When the batteries finally die, I will either replace them or adapt the light to run off of a 12 volt battery. The on/off switch could be a better type but is okay.

    great light poor battery August 15, 2006

    I enjoyed using the light when it was new it worked great. Nice and light weight bright in the dark too. After only 3 or 4 charges the battery grew weak and would no longer accept a charge. I had to take the battery out to prove to the store manager that this light was not even a year old yet. The battery was dated when it was manufactured, fortunately. I was able to get a replacement after speaking to the right employee at Sears. For $39.99 I thought the battery should last at least four or five years, not four or five months.

    This is by far the most versatile trouble light I have ever owned. No more dead batteries, no more tangled cords, no more broken bulbs. I have dropped it, spilled oil on it and generally abused it and it just keeps on going. I have bought a ton of tools in my day but this is by far my favorite and the best bang for the buck. I couldn't be without it now. If it somehow broke or was lost, I would replace it in a heartbeat.

    I got it last year April and it don't hold the charge already. The Light got weaker each time I ussed it and it lasted only 15 mo. for $30. not a good deal.

    when i bought this light it was great until i drop it from about 3 ft. high. The bottom piece that scews both halves together broke. I had to glue it so the light would work. then it had an intermittent light problem. It would stay on when it wanted too. i finally ended throwing it away after 6 months of use.

    I've had this light for about 5 or 6 months now I've used it maybe 3 times. The only time it stays bright is when it is plugged in, defeating the purpase of having a rechargable light. I was using it yesterday on my dryer and after about 5 minutes had to switch to a different light because it was dead. I don't know how this could be because I always fulling drain the battery Before putting it back on the charger the way you are supposed to. still didn't help.
