    This trowel bends like butter. I was using it in the ground in my yard and it bent without any effort at all. It claims to be made out of hardened steel and has a lifetime limited warranty, but it didn't last me more than an hour before it was destroyed. Definitely going to go and get a different brand.

    This trowel looks good. It performs well in loose soil. But sadly, it has a weak weld. As soon as I tried to dig a hole in firm soil to plant some 6" potted perennials the trowel broke at the joint between the metal shank and the spade.

    I note that the current version of the tool looks different from the photo on this page. The weld area is way too small in the current version of the tool. Not up to the Craftsman tool standard.

    i bought the set, two little shovels and a cultivator, from sears earlier this year. i have only used the smallest shovel aka trowel, and was totally shocked w/ the quality. i was in fairly loose soil, and the shovel flexed right below the handle. it wasnt twenty minutes later, and it was broke into.  it only lasted that long cause i babied it around. hopefullu sears will refund/replace this product, i just havent got around to trying yet.

    Okay for very light work. Don't put much (if any) stress on the trowel or the weld that holds the handle on will break. So far within the past year, I have replaced it 2 times. Not very happy with it.
