    Pros:
    Not Flimsy,Powerful Motor,Extra-Large Feed Tube,Heavy Base,Uses Readily-Available Discs

    I own a 1980's model Cuisinart 20-cup and nothing will ever compare to it, but this is a close second in a compact design. It bests even other modern-day larger Cuisinart models.

    I'd never push it by attempting to use it to knead the quantity of dough I do in the larger, more powerful model, but it kneads small amounts very nicely.

    I have wanted a smaller food processor for times when the full-sized was too much and have tried many, but this is the closest to my pro model on the market.

    Although the disc stem is different, the discs themselves, even those made decades ago for the DLC-7 series models and readily available from online auctions will fit this machine. This will give those who want more versatility additional options.

    I have this product from limited edition 14 cup, my wife simple loves it. She regularly makes dough for indian bread and the best part is it came with 20 year motor warranty. It has a build in feature that if the motor gets heated it will shut down temporarily and you can restart after few hrs of cool down. Amazing product , we simply are in love with it.

    I love this food processor! I have not had one for years so didn't realize how many things you can do. I compared this to KitchenAid and based on a ton of reviews I bought the Cuisinart. I have not been disappointed. Only that you really cant "chop" lettuce, it would be better to shred in the processor or chop by hand. I chopped and sliced a whole bunch of different veggies and then transfer to tupperware to have salad for several days. On and don't bother buying a special box for accessories. I looked around in my house and found a perfect coated wire basket with handle. The discs fit perfectly along with little posts and pusher. I can just lift it and put away under the counter. Another tip, additional discs available under classic 7 or 11 cup models will fit this processor. Cuisinart won't confirm this but it's true. I ordered a 6mm slicing disc (original disc slices too thin) and a 6mm french fry disc which can also be used for julienne veggies. Another thing its important to line up the main bowl first and click into place. then line up the cover slightly from the left, and move counterclockwise to click in place. The top pusher will not click into place until the motor is running. I've also made chocolate chip cookies and they came out perfect. Use the original tollhouse recipe. Anyway seems like I won't need a mixer anymore. Happy cooking!
