The framed tubular construction adds the strength and rigidity you would expect from a heavy-duty gate. The incorporated louvers allow air to pass freely through the gate to increase the fuel efficiency of your truck.

Dee Zee's Louvered Tailgates also include a Tailgate Assist and custom BOLT latch. This dampened shock lowers the tailgate slowly to avoid damage to your truck or personal injury. You can now safely open your tailgate with a single finger when your arms are full or simply avoid the dangerous, bone-jarring thud an unrestricted tailgate.

Theft of tailgates is a very real hazard. That is why Dee Zee's Louvered Flow-Thru Tailgates feature a BOLT paddle handle latch. This sophisticated latch learns the key code from your factory ignition key to lock and unlock the gate. You simply insert your truck key into the lock once and the internal mechanism now has a blueprint of your key. Fumbling with multiple keys is in the past.

The flow-thru tailgate design accommodates for fifth wheel trailers with the sunken middle section. Whether you don't have a fifth wheel or you simply want to fill the gap when not in use, there is a fifth wheel insert available (sold separately).
