Great little Marine Deep Cycle battery. Best price I have been able to find anywhere, and it is easy to install and carry. So far it is performing great, but the real test will be in a few seasons.

Price makes it a winner in my book, so if it continues to perform well, it is not only a good purchase, but a great one.

DEEP CYCLE M24 DIE HARD DIDNT HOLD UP July 19, 2010

I HAD BOUGHT 2 OF THESE BATTERIES FOR MY CLASS A MOTORHOME IN JUNE OF 2009 AND EVEN WITH A TRICKLE CHARGE ON THEM WHEN IN STORAGE THEY WOULD NOT HOLD ANYMORE CHARGE BY JULY OF 2010. SINCE IT WAS OVER THE WARRANTY PERIOD BY 1 MONTH THE BEST I COULD GET THEM TO DO IS GET ANOTHER ONE FOR $40.00 EACH. THE ONLY REASON I WILL BUY MORE IS THESE ARE 10" LONG AND 3 JUST FITS IN THE BATTERY TRAY PERFECTLY. UNABLE TO FIND ANY OTHER DEEP CYCLE THIS SHORT.

Died right out of warranty September 06, 2011

Used this battery over four months in a boat, but have had it for over a year. Just after one year, it all of a sudden refuses to hold a charge. We had to jump start it with a car just to get enough juice in it to turn the boat engine over once. Funny how other people have had this die after the warranty, isn't it?

    27494 Deep-Discharge Power -- Everything I hoped for. June 24, 2011

    Pros:
compact,Forgiving of deep-discharge,One-time expenditure, ongoing value, price, size, weight

Bought this battery, and a model 71222 battery charger, just over six years ago. I've been using it to power an inverter feeding 120VAC to my CPAP machine, specifically for those summer-season (usually storm-related) Florida power-grid outages -- because without my CPAP machine, I don't sleep.

I drag out the whole assembly every spring, put a full charge on the battery (you learn to ignore the meter on the 71222, just go by charge-time), and sleep easier all summer. I believe the longest I went without power was almost three weeks, running the CPAP 7-8 hours per day, with no problem at all. That isn't counting also using it to charge cell phones, to power a small TV, etc. This battery is a real workhorse.

Biggest caution with the charger and inverter -- don't put the whole assembly into some nice neat enclosure withOUT providing for significant airflow cooling.
