Unexpected Life Saver
I originally bought this unit to keep in my boat in case my battery died out in the water and sure enough it saved me $600 for not having to call sea tow, but this isn't even the reason I'm writing this review...Living near the Jersey shoreline, I'm currently on day 5 without power because of Sandy. I was not able to find a generator so all I had was my power pack. To summarize, for the first 48 hours, our cell phones were fully charged, my Ipad was fully charged and we spent our time catching up with the news and watching Netflix online using our mobile hot spot, the lamp produced enough light when having dinner and showering in the dark, and finally with temperatures in the 30's and 40's, my gas fireplace needed some kind of power source to keep the pilot lit and thats what kept us warm at night. After day 3, I went back to work where we had power and I was able to charge my power pack for 8 hours at a time and its been lasting me through the nights.

Will Not Jump completely dead batteries
We bought 3 of these units for our towing business and after using them for about a week we realized that these units will not jump batteries which have very little juice left in them. The jumper pack has a sensor which displays the percentage of the battery which is being jumped. And if it is less than 20% it wont jump the dead battery it wont even try. And generally when a car wont start it only has 5-10% battery life. Not recommended for people looking to jump their cars.

Compressor doesn't even inflate a bicycle tire. Worked once then never again. Very disappointed! Ratings on other chargers seem superb for units half the price.

Good unit, Bad quality control.
When I received the unit, ALL the accessories were missing, specifically; 1) Manual 2)Plug in wall charger 3)Compressor Accessory Bag. I called Sears to complain and spoke with a very nice representative who went about sending me the missing items. At the time I was told I won't be able to exchange the item at a local Sears store. Anyway, I received the printed out manual and plug in wall charger but they no longer have the compressor accessory pack. The unit itself is very good, used twice so far and no problems.

This is a great battery pack and easier to use and recharge than regular batteries for my sail boat. It also did a great job in helping my family get through hurricane Sandy.

Great All-Around Product
Had been doing alot of research on jump starters/portable power stations before buying this model. Was looking for something to use when traveling, for odd/end jobs around the home, as well as portable power for the occasional power outage. Some offer this or that, but the 1150 DieHard has a great combination of features and build quality for the price. Haven't used it as a jump box yet, but have tinkered with most of the functions and all work well. My advice is to read the instructions before using and keep it charged at all times. Once plugged in, this model charges according to battery depletion so overcharging/ruining the internal battery isn't an issue as it switches to maintenance mode once it reaches 100%.
